From "I can't take it anymore..."
A friend of mine who works for an package delivery company, that will remain un-named at his request, relayed this story to me.
One of his deliveries was to 1210 E. XYZ street Apt. #12 last week. Trouble started when he delivered it to 1200 xyz Street. It was just an empty box that Hewlett Packard was sending for the return shipment of a faulty notebook computer. Apparently the people he delivered it to were out of town for a couple of days and so he just left it at the front door. When they returned home they found this "suspicious box". Suspicious because they were not expecting anything from HP and also because the lady had been getting threatening phone calls/email messages from a former boyfriend. So...my friend is watching the news on TV later and catches a report about a suspicious box that was delivered to 1200 xyz street Apt. #12. The Anchorage police department had been called in and evacuated the entire area including the next door post office while the bomb squad investigated. My friend said the first thing he heard when he turned on the TV was "FIRE IN THE HOLE" followed by a "BOOM" as the package was blown up in the bomb squad detonator box. I just couldn't help but think of you as I was gasping for air while laughing hysterically.
So far he still has his job, but he's kind of nervous. They aren't saying anything to him. :)
